The bottom left hand home is where I was raised and now live today. My parents were Arthur and Marion Chapman. They built this house in 1945. It use to be down the road on the other side of the street near where the Murphy's use to live. It was moved a few years after it was built when Dad and Mom purchased the 10 acres that it sets on today. They built on to the house over the years as their family grew to include 4 children. Not much has changed since this photo other than a shop was built on the back of the garage and a small entry porch on the back of the house, new siding and windows/doors. The potato fields have been gone for many years. As kids, we use to take my brother's little red wagon after the fields were dug and get the leftover potatoes.

The house in the center of the photo was until late last year (2019) the home of Winston and Lois Ward, who purchased the house in the late 1940's/early 1950's where they raised their four children. Mrs. Ward lived in that house til last year. The fence has been gone for many years. A small additional was built on the back of the house I believe in the early/mid 80's, new siding and windows a few years later, but pretty much is the same. The same clothes line at the back of the house was still standing til the new own just recently took it down. Sad. That property was maintained to prefection for all the years that the Ward's residing there.

The house on the right was built by Dad's brother, Floyd Chapman, who was married to my mother's sister Pauline. They raised five their children there, and as you can see there is a path from their house (across the front yard) down to the ditch in front of our house. Most of the time all of us kids would be at one house or the other, hence the beaten path. This house has pretty much stayed the same. The current owner is putting in new windows, doors and siding at present. Footprint of home is still the same as the other two homes.
