This looks like the Guerrette farm on the Van Buren Road

Ulysses & Lena Guerrette farm. Eddie Guerrette's house on the left. Guerrette children: Conrad, Ronald, Roger, Elaine (Malenfant), Joyce (Lashomb) & Linda (Wallis). Nancy (Malenfant), daughter to Eddie & Connie. Farmhouse is now occupied by Ronald Guerrette's granddaughter.

Many good years for me,I married and left home at 21yrs old in 1977 came to Bastrop,La.Alway enjoying the place when I visited home.It is nice to know that family still lives there. It has been remodeled, but it is still home to me.

I have heard countless stories of when my mother grew up on that farm. I spent time with my grandparents there while growing up myself. So many wonderful memories came to mind when I saw the photo.

The rail road track is gone. They added a mechanics shop. And fuel tanks. Also lots of equipment parked out buy the house.
