The George Peteron home. All buildings are gone except the home.

This is the George Peterson and Ralph Buzzell Farm. My family (Harold Leo & Geneva Hester) bought it and I spent my teen years here. This is across from Malachi Anderson's home on the Colby Siding Rd. Woodland, ME. I believe the McEndarfer family lives here now.

This was the house across the street when I grew up. My best friend Ruth Peterson lived there with her mom Dorothy and father George, 2 brothers Jeff & Bobby and a sister Debbie. Ruthie had a play house we spent a lot of time in. The backyard had a white picked fence. It was a big dairy farm/ tater farm, so there were always animals and a beautiful collie dog named Heidi. Heidi had puppies regularly 8-12 at a time. We got one of her puppies and he (Tippy) was a good dog too. good people, fun times.

We do live there now and how I wish I could have walked along the land back in that day! So sad when the barn came down. I love hearing stories about the heritage of this place.

So cool to see our house like this! Wish I could have actually been there

George Peterson was first cousin to my father, John Larsson. (John's mother Hulda Storm Larsson was sister to George's mother, Emma.) George and my father were close to each in other in age. I remember visiting this farm a few times when the family came back to Aroostook from Connecticut for summer vacations.
