Ivan Porter's farm. Presque Isle Road, Ashland, Maine.

The barn was torn down when the buildings roof was leaking and not safe to enter. The barn was buried in the cellar and covered with dirt.
The house has a porch added on,plus interior work, etc.
This picture was taken when i owned the farm. The farm is still being used .

We purchased this home @ 815 Presque Isle Road & the farm from Ivan & Peg Porter in Summer of 1999. Where the barn was buried and covered has now settled & left side of the foundation rock wall is exposed by 6'. There is a line of pine trees on the left side bordering the upper driveway, and the farm road no longer weaves through the middle of the fields. Since we have lived here farmers have leased the fields for potatoes & grain every year. As Ivan said, we have added a porch, new windows & shutters. Inside cosmetic updates, no major renovations, nothing drastic!

We lived in this house when Sal Mor farms owned it back in 1970, my husband worked for them
