This is still an auto repair shop.
This was a Chevron station. Lester Porter ran in in the 1960s. The driveway behind it led to the Faith Lutheran Church which burned down a few years ago. The house at center belonged to Jerry and Betty Drake. The three buildings at upper right were left over from when this area was the Jacobs farm and were torn down I 1967 when Jacobs Ave was constructed as access to Plourde's Apts. The street at upper left is Wellington Ave with Lloyd and Nina Hemphill's house just visible. Across from Drake's is Marc and Jeannette LaChance's house. I grew up in the house at lower left. The one-car garage was sold in 1973 and still exists on Brown Rd in Woodland.
