Presque Isle Base Housing on left.............all gone now
Then became Fairview Acres.
The was Clair's Market , then Harry Rideout's Market. It now is Lori Burtt's Hair and Beyond , hair salon. Lamb's Ambulance service was next door. Fairview Acres in the back left corner. Those were the good old days.
I would like. To see. Winnie's in the back left side of this picture playing at the playground at the Acres, then a 5cent ice cream cone at Winnie's visiting Gramie. Bishop with my mom sister , brother & Ronnie the good old days .
I lived there, I believe from 1962 - 1964 /5. Might be a little off on those dates but I was about 10 - 12 yrs. old. I remember Harry Rideouts Market and loved to go there for candy. Also remember Winnie's Ice Cream that does not show in this picture.
Steve Roix, I was 5 yrs old when we went to live @ Fair Fiew Acres, so it had to be late '63 or early '64. I think we moved in the fall, didn't we? I was just young enough, that I had a blast living there! So many kids to play with! I'll never forget the day that Larry & I set up a carnival, and we gave away my toys for prizes. Mom had to go around the neighborhood collecting all of my toys after she found out what we were up to! LOL I think everybody was gracious about giving them back. I have such great memories there!
My mom and dad lived there when it was military housing. I lived there in the 70's.. The housing was torn down in the 80's.
