Lewis Drake's dairy farm, East Chapman, Maine

this is my family homestead

My first job was picking potatoes for Lewis Drake when I was in 6th grade. We worked hard, but had lots of fun! Lewis would come through the neighborhood and we'd all pile in the back of his pickup and head for the fields. We'd come back to the farm when we'd get rained out and hang out in the barn with the McKeever, St. Bernard (I think that was his name).

This my dads farm

This was my Grampy Lewis and Grammy Geraldine's farm. I have wonderful childhood memories of sliding down the roof of the potato house in the winter, bumping up and down in the front seat of the harvester while my Grampy was driving and going to their home every Saturday night for homemade bread and baked beans. I had lots of fun "helping" hook up the dairy cows and watching the milk get processed in the milk shed. Also had fun playing up in the hay loft and riding my Uncle Larry's horses. Memories I will cherish forever.
