I'm relatively sure that this is where Vern Labbe's home and tree farm currently stand.

This was my grandfathers farm Belone and Mary Roy farm where my father lived my dads was Albenie B Roy my grand father was a farmer then he sold the farm to my uncle Alphee till he retired and sold the house to Mr Labbe and some of the land the outside has change a lot some of the buildings are gone and it is now a xmas tree farm .

Built in early 1920's by my grandfather Belone Roy. My dad, Alphee Roy, purchased the farm after I was born in late 1940's . Farm was sold to Labbe in early 1980's after dad retired when I decided to not stay on the farm. Barn and potato storage are no longer. Small playhouse to left of house was built in 1952 by dad and his uncle, Wally Labrie. It is now in my backyard in Turner where my grandkids enjoy.

I was there many times growing up but it was after Pepere Roy had moved. I visited the house last year during the Acadian Festival and was welcomed by the Labbe's. They've kept the upstairs very much like it I remembered it. I worked for Uncle Alphe as a farm hand during planting and shipping and was familiar with all the out buildings (including the lone shed "au troisieme rang". My father (Hercule) told me that the barn, which was huge, was partly an old barn that had been torn down and moved to the site and partly new construction. It was home to 4 teams of horses at one time, which was considerable. Dad said that Grandpa's "bagosse" was hidden in the grain (oats) bin. How I'd love to have the old hand-hewn timbers that were in that barn.
