US Route 1, Upper Frenchville. Formerly LJB storage building. Next door on left is Lewis Gagnon's store.

Prior to LJB Storage, it was the owned by Romeo J. Roy and was the largest heating and plumbing distributor in Aroostook County---the small building adjacent to the Quonset was the main office which was replaced with the now existing building. At the time of replacement in the mid-70's, the existing building had become the main showroom for bathroom displays. The building behind it was moved over behind the house on the far right and is now an apartment

My father, Paul Bernier, worked at Romeo Roy's for years. The house to the far right is the Bernier homestead (Gilman and Helen) and the building to the far left is my grandfather's hardware store and the Gagnon homestead, where my mother was raised.

I remember working at my uncle's plumbing supply with my cousin Bob before going to work at the other business at the starch factory. It was a lot more fun and interesting delivering plumbing supplies. However come fall and winter, it was much warmer at the factory.

My grandfather's hardware store,
