Gateway in Madawaska ME
Always thought of it as Madawaska,
I was brought up less than a mile from this motel
Bottom left was our restaurant ,i was 5 years old when this picture was taken. the name of it was Valley Diner or Valley Restaurant. Flat roof. Rita (Cyr) Bosse now lives in this restaurant that was converted into an apartment in early 1970's.
bottom right is the top of the roof of Claude Hebert's grist mill to grind buckwheat into flour to make ploys.
