This is the Arsene Laplante homestead on Lake Rd. Van Buren. The barn collapsed in 2013. We were very close to this family, they were good people. The home is now vacant but is still owned by the familiy's son Louis Laplante.

I had the privilege of working at our local nursing home for many years under the leadership and guidance of a caring n loving Registered Nurse, known as Sarge - She will always remain one of Our Golden Girls in heart and precious memories. * Thank You Nurse Laplante *

This homestead was right after our homestead Dennis & Jeannette Berube. Arsene & Doris were my God Parents, very nice people. I spent a lot of time visiting with them. We took the school bus with Louis, Jean, Jim & Bernadette. Fond memories.
