The Laplante homestead.

This is the Laplante farm on Castonguay Road in Van Buren Maine. My grandfather Pierre Laplante purchased this home in the early 1900's. His son Clement Laplante would then purchase it from him in the late 1950's or early 60's. My father Thomas Laplante purchased it from his brother in 1969 and now I (George Laplante, son of Thomas) have owned the homestead since 1986. My son and daughter are 4th generation of Laplante's to live in this home.

Laplante homestead. All of the extended Laplante family were very good friends with the Cyrs. I remember visiting and playing with the Laplante children when we were young at this homestead. There used to be a small logcabin type of playhouse located in the back of the house that we spent alot of time playing in.
