Casey's Store on the Portage Road This would have been the year my parents, Ray & Fern Chasse owned it! Wow! Can't wait to show my Dad!
This was my grandparents house, store and garag. The little house is tore down and the store is now something to do with loggers I believe
Used to ride my bike here for the penny candy! Squirrel chews
Yes I have connections here Raymond and Fern Chasse owned this property.Ronald and Theresa Casey bought the store and house back in 1965 , from Raymond which is Theresa 's brother. Theresa and Ronald moved from Conn and raised their children, Karen and Kevin.
They named the store business Ron's Service it was very successful for many years,Then in the late eighty's Theresa decided she worked long enough and closed the store then she retired Ronald worked at Pinkham Lumber. The Casey's built a house across the road and lived and rented the house out. Years later they sold the property
This is so nice to see, Wilmer Belanger and I rented this house with our son jeffrey, who was only a few years old starting back in probably 1985,for several years. We loved living there, although it was very close to train tracks. We just got used to it. There were tons of beautiful lupine's growing on the side of the house every spring. My mother Kathie Hews lived up the road a few miles, and would come by most days to spend time with her grandson. Then she would go over to the store and visit with Theresa a bit and then head home. Oh the memories.
