Mars Hill, ME ?
I believe that garage in the center is now Brewer's garage in Mars Hill.
Good News Book Store to left of Brewers and Grews Clothing to the right
isn't T R York & Son on that end closest to Brewer's and then Grew's?
This mix the town I was born in and still call home.
This is my hometown. Mistake made in prior post.
lived in Tracy Mills, NB and when we picked potatoes in the fall, got our money and our first stop was Grew's in Mars Hill
My father, Austin H Fitz built this garage which was originally a Sunoco station. We lived in the apartment upstairs until I was 10 years old and garage was sold to Brewer. At one time the building next door was Rideouts Market,,Hathaways Hotel and Jones Service Station were across the street.
Ignore auto correct (FITTZ and JONSEYS)
My mom bought the 1st house you see to the left of Brewer’s Garage behind the Masonic Hall on ACI Street and we moved into it the summer of 73. I spent many hours hanging out at Brewers after supper and helping out pumping gas in the evenings when Gary Brewer was working there. I really miss that simple life compared to life these days.
