David Delongs' Parents home on Bootfoot Road, Bridgewater, Maine

John and Isa Delong, this is their second home on Bootfoot, their first one burned. They came from Canada and claimed the land and raised potatoes and kids (11) at least. When they died Otis and Geneva Delong and Frank lived there. My Aunt Sheila was born there. My Grandfather and Grandmother Mearl and Frances Delong started their family living there. I remember many homemade icecream socials there on their side porch. Lots of sledding parties on the hill by the house. A great apple tree that was planted by John Delong in the 40's or earlier, it was two types of Apple trees that he grafted together.
