Originally that was Claude Benson's farm. Later the Merritts bought it. I can't remember what year the original barn burned, but it must have been in the late sixties.

I believe the original barn burned 65 or 66. I grew up here from 2nd grade until I married. Elbridge and Virginia Merritt are the Merritt's that bought it from Claude Benson. I believe all the buildings have been torn down as of this date.

The property is now vacant. The hodgdon and linneus fire departments burned the old house down a couple months ago. Now no nuildings stand here.
