Potter Academy, built in 1895, was the local high school and was located on Route 107 in Sebago Center. It was expanded with an addition in 1965 and served the town until 1968 when the town joined a school district with Naples, Casco and Bridgton.
Ownership passed to Dr. Lowell Barnes who rented the building to a rehabilitation center. The building burned in 1973.
