Located at 4way intersection in East Dover. Formally Dow then Towne family's. Buildings still exist, now a horse ranch.

I lived here from May of 1977 until August of 1979. When we moved there the house was owned by Charles Fitzgerald and had not been lived in for some time. The barn then was used for hay storage. The house was large and we only used the first floor. It was a typical New England farm where you could walk to the barn through the length of sheds. It had a huge pantry and fascinating stonework in the cellar with a cistern.

I grew up on the Isaac Royal farm. It belonged then to my Grandfather Harland Towne. Isaac Royal was John Paul Jones
cabin boy and is buried on that property.
