House with cars parked next is no longer around. Its location is at the corner of Main Rd (Rt. 1) and Miller Rd in Woolwich, Maine. Miller Rd bisects Rt 1 (running to the east) and the Kennebec side is called Ferry Rd.

This was a grocery store in the fifties and a pizza Italian restaurant in the 70s Route one in Woolwich on the right headed North just after Baker's Auto

I agree the restaurant was Donnelli's

WHEN IT WAS A GROCERY STORE IT WAS CALLED ''LARRY'S MARKET'', SO NAMED AFTER LARRY EDWARDS,WIFE WAS TOWN CLERK,ALVA EDWARDS.SHE HAD A TINY SECOND STORY OFFICE,FAR RIGHT.

Did Ron Pye work here as a butcher?

Oh its Larry's Market!!!! I remember it well. My grandparents (orr family) lived on Sasanoa (now Bailey) Bluff and 127. I went to Larry's with aunts and uncles and parents and later on my own. There was another store just across the bridge as I recall. My grampa Bailey also had a Building Construction business just behind the store as I recall. Larry Strout ran the store as I recall. Wasn't Billy Phillips' dad the owner at one time?

RON PYE BOUGHT BILL PHILLIPS GROCERY STORE [ aka BILL'S MKT] RON BOUGHT OUT BURGESS LUMBER YARD AND BUILT A NEW STORE AND US POST OFFICE AND A BANK ON PINE STREET. HE NAMED IT '' WOOLWICH COMMONS" THE GROCERY STORE FAILED QUICKLY , AND THE BANK TOO FAILED. C&S CARPET & FLOORING OCCUPIES RON'S STORE TODAY, BUT I THINK THEY ARE CLOSING. THE POT SHOP OCCUPIES WHAT WAS THE ATLANTIC BANK. BTW PINE STREET CONNECTS US RT 1 AND T H E OLD ARROWSIC RD,IT IS NOT PART OF THE PARKING LOT. MAINE STATE D.O.T. BLUE PRINTS THAT I HAVE BEAR THAT OUT. FRED BURGESS THEN BOUGHT FRANK CARLTON SR'S BURNT OUT HOUSE ON WOOD BRIDGE RD AND ADDED A SECOND FLOOR. I KNOW MY NEIGHBORHOOD.

Thanks for that, Dennis. Ron and I were childhood playmates, and we both worked at the First National Store in Bath during a short period in 1963.
