Photo 13-AWA-27

Comments

This is the house at 161 Mt Ephraim Rd in Searsport, presently (since 1979) owned and occupied by Mary Dehn-Reynolds and Larry Reynolds. At the time of the photo it was the home of Fred and Mabel(?) Cook. The porch and the wing on the right hand side were taken off in 1979, as they were falling in. Our two children were brought up in this house. The lilac bush at the left front is still there. The huge elm tree is long gone, but the remains of the stump are still there (2015) if you know where to look. We built a new barn to the east of the house in the early 1980s. Don't know what is on the back (north) side. It was gone by the time we got there.
We are seeking any earlier photos of this house.
