Oh my!!! I was 12 when this photo was taken of the old house that I grew up in...I see the body of a trailer to the right stuck amongst the tree's, this is where I had kept all my laying hens for roosting..wow! My father had opened up his business ( a garage ) a year prior. to this photo..and the old building that's located in front of the cars ( Rte 112 )...the little building he first used to do mechanical work , then later in the years it served as a storage for tires and such...the garage would be located now to the left of that old building...on the corners of Rte 112 and Depot Street, Buxton..the cars in the field that you see in the foreground, (man!, would I love to have them now to restore!, can you just imagine their worth today and tooling around town in one of those babies?! ) my brothers and I would bomb and race them around thru the horse and cow pastures...what fun! Gave many a scare to some of my "male' friends from the neighborhood, aka Skipper was the biggest scare that I had ride with me, haha..sorry Skipper!! we went bombing thru the pastures , this particular time in a jeep with no roof! and I hollered out, DUCK! and then pushed his head down as we flew under a barbed wire electrified fence! (the fence was high enough up so it wouldn't of sheered our heads off, due to a dip in the field, which was located by a couple of apple tree's that the horses and cows would shade under, ) I knew it was there but he didn't , sorry Skip! LOL..I lived dangerously behind the wheel in those days! ..young and lack of fear I suppose...it was the thrill that I'm sure race car drivers experience every time they go out! Yup..I should of been a race car driver, think I missed my calling! :-) fun memories made back in the day...

I remember a year prior to this photo taken , new neighbors had just moved in to the neighborhood, they had bought the old farm on Rte 112....(the Murray Family) the oldest child of that family who was a year younger than I...well..she and I had quickly become " partner's in crime " as they say! haha!! JK!..we did everything together......we did have a lot of fun during our "growing up" years...we learned sooo much! :-) ...We have remained friends to this day...
