Rte 15 Bartgis Hansonville Rd

This Esso Gas Station is at Route 15 and Bartgis Road and was owned by Dick Ashenfelter. The building has stood vacant for decades. Bartgis Road is at the bottom of the picture. The road at the immediately top of the gas station is Route 15 when it was a single lane highway. The road at the top is Devilbiss Bridge Road. The empty field to the left of Devilbiss Bridge Road is now home to Home Paramount Pest Control. To the right, the home to Custom Siding and Tractor Supply Company.

Was, also, Midway Exxon Service Center, 9872 Hansonville Rd., Frederick. In the yellow pages they said they were located at US15 & Devilbiss Bridge Rd., which is correct, but their address was Hansonville Rd. Bartgis Rd. starts on the west side of Hansonville Rd. Before the present US15 came through here, Devilbiss Bridge Rd. came into Hansonville Rd. a little more to the north.
