My Husband was Raised in this Home, His Grandmother was raised here His Great Grandparents (Hackworths) bought this Property in the 1930's and it is still in our Family Today. We are currently Raising our Children Here.

A lot has changed from this photo taken 41 years ago.
The old wooden barn was torn down in the 90's and replaced with Steel Sided Barn- Red.
The Silo has been Gone at least since 2006. All that was left of the Silo was the Concrete pad. Which had a trampoline on it from 2010 to 2020.
in 2020 the concrete pad was torn out.
Storms have taken all but the Hickory Tree over the years. The Tree at the back of the house fell in a storm around 1986 (so the story goes) and took out the old Galley Kitchen on the back of the house. The Kitchen was rebuilt and is a much larger size with a deck along the back.
In this picture there is a trailer and shed in directly in front of the Silo that was taken out Some time in the late 80's (from what I have been told). At the time of this photo I believe My Husband's Uncle and his first wife and their 2 oldest kids were living in the trailer, While My husband's other uncle and his first wife and their kids were in the house. In the 90's After the Trailer was removed My Husband's Mother then moved in with her 3 kids.
The Clothes line ran from North to south (unlike in this photo) at least from 2006 to 2019. 2017 or 18 the clothes line was retired and removed.
The Drive Way is the same including where the car is parked was used for parking up until 2020. The Driveway I am told has always been in this spot Since the 1930's. The Cement Well Cap in Front of the screened porch was removed around 2010 when a New well was drilled. The only Tree in the yard that remains is the Hickory Tree(still Dropping nuts).
In 2021 A new Barn was added approximately where the clothes line is in this Photo.40x64 White with Black Roof. Intention is to Build a new home in 2021/2022 Directly Behind where the house sits now. My Husband's Grandmother (Gram) passed away January 26,2021. Over the Years we have enjoyed many stories of her growing up here. When She got Married, She and Her husband bought a small Farm at the end of Pell RD (19985 S. County Line Rd). Sometime between 56-58 ( I believe). We have had many memories in what we refer to as the "3Mile" Which includes My Husband's Grandparent's Home, Our home, Uncle Jimmy and Aunt April, My Husband's Cousin Jennifer and her husband Bruce and Many Long Term Neighbors. I am still Searching for older photos of the Farm, but this is the oldest one I have found. I would like to commemorate the Farm in the new House with Photo and historical Provenance.
