I grew up right down the street from here on Coldwater Rd.

Ci grew up around there and was in the Beecher tornado.

The area in the far right corner was a field when I lived there.

My cousin worked there in high school!

We drive by this all the time building still there closed down a few years ago

They had the best ice cream sundaes

Growing up near by, this was the favorite ice cream stop. My father was a Beecher fireman and he would take our family for ice cream. Not as often as I would have liked but it sure was a special treat when he did!

I grew up just east of there, we used to walk there all the time for the ice cream. And also the fire department right behind it when they had the open house where they served cider and donuts from Walcotts

Herrimans

Loved their ice cream. It was always a special treat to go there with my Dad.

So many Sunday nights after church were spent here with the Mt Morris Community Church youth group and college/career group! And fish and chips with my folks, followed by ice cream of course. My favorite: Hot Fudge Banana Split.

Where I learned to bake home made cobbler and cream pies I worked there for 10 plus years , the original owners were awesome

I knew Herrimans Restaurant well. I started my 28 year career at the Mt.MorrisTownship Police Dept in 1973. The Police Dept was located in the building to the west of Herrimans above the Fire Dept so I went to Herrimans for meals for years. It was a very good place to eat. The area has changed sence that time

We grew up going to Herriman's for ice cream too. Moved out of Michigan years ago but still have family there. So sad to go back and see all of your childhood connections gone. Told my grandchildren about Herriman's. We have a place here were we go, so similar to Herriman's, been around for years.

Loved the ice cream. But the fish and chips were the best.

I remember going there. I loved the food there and the atmosphere.

My boyfriend at the time, & I had many double dates there with our friends. We could have, yes, fish & chips and ice cream cones for desert. Such nice comfortable dates spent there over almost 60 yrs. ago. It was a nice place for teens to have dates. Many nice memories. The small building to the left is gone. I sure hate to see it closed & decaying now.

My dad was the owner from 1956_1978 dipped alot of ice cream over the years met alot of nice people there from Beecher MT Morris and hamady hard to see it the way it is now

My Grandfather started Herrimans.. I would love a copy of this picture.

We used to stop there for ice cream usually after church. When I was about 14 we moved to a street off Coldwater rd. not far from there. It was a decent neighborhood then in the early 70s but was already going down hill fast. You couldn't pay me to live there now.

I work for them at the snow mobile shop chaparral snow mobiles next to gas station

Grant Martin gave me my 1st job back in 1965. I started out behind the ice cream counter dipping ice cream for 90 cents an hour. Then I was moved to the back room making hot fudge, tin roof sundaes & malts. I ended up working the food store for $1.00 an hour before I had leave to go to EMU. Mr. Martin threw some great Christmas parties.

I was born in 1963 and grew up on Flamingo Street just off of Neff St. Some of my life's earliest memories were sitting on the tall (from my 5 yr old perspective) stools in amazement of the long, tall ice cream cone boxes that stood just behind the counter.

1954-1958 I lived at 6440 Estrelle Avenue, Mt. Morris Twp. 1958-1970 at 5286 North Harvard Street Mt. Morris Twp. 1970-1976 in Flint. 1976-1999 214 Beecher Lane, Diane Mobile Manor, Mt. Morris Twp. Stopped there quite often as a late teen early adult. Enjoyed their ice cream in many forms, sundaes, splits and cones.....

My grandmother used to take us there for ice cream, I'm guessing it must of been the late 70s.

6015 Clio Rd, Mt Morris, MI 48458

That was my Grampa Nelson's place. It was a Chicken egg and dairy farm before it was the restaurant.
My grampa and grandma lived next door for years.
Then it belonged to the Martin's.
Had the best ice cream.
Their Monster banana split was awesome.
I really miss those times.
