North Star has changed a lot since then. Currently, the only buildings left standing are the bar and the vacant former hardware store.

The building in the center of the frame, "Doris's", was a second hand store, and has been gone for several years. The building in the lower left was a small grocery store and (just out of frame to the left, the barber shop. Both are now gone.The barber shop was damaged when the grocery store portion was demolished.Bottom right is the tavern, bottom center would be the old hardware store.Old photos of all these buildings are on display in the town hall.
