My Mother grew up here (she recently turned 71) Her one room country school house was moved a mile (1970's) and attached to the Westside of the house for large family gatherings. My grandparents sold the property in the mid-1970s. In the late 1990's the property was again sold to the State of Michigan DNR and the house was burnt down. I was lucky to be able to go back inside the house with my parents just a week before the State DNR's controlled burn of the house.
