Grandparents and great grandparents had a farm across the street from this picture (Ellceys)

My parents bought these buildings and ten acres. I believe that was in the 1980’s. They have since sold the buildings and 5 acres and built a new home behind where the barn stands.

We owned this house and a few acres for several years. We did not live there but rented it out to other people. We did sell the house in about 2005 to Doug and Karen Matson. They did a LOT of updating to the old house. Matsons sold it to a Miss Faulkner and she sold it to the current owner Matt McLaughlin. I currently live in my new home located somewhat behind the barn. Very interesting to see the place in its former glory.

You can't see it in this photo, but the hand operated gas pump in the yard was one of the three pumps at Dallas Ries gas station in Jasper. Ries station was most recently Jerry Brown's barbershop and now is used by bikers.

You are correct, there was a hand operated gas pump in the yard when we bought the property from Vernon and Fern McMunn, not sure of the year, but it was in the 80's. It was there for years but not quite sure what we did with it.
