The C&O carferry docks in Ludington, Michigan. This shows 3 docks, now only the middle one left, and only 1 carferry still operating. The train tracks are all gone & a marina has taken their place.

This is now the Ludington Docks for the SS Badger Ferry Boat that runs across Lake Michigan to Manitowoc Wisconsin.

The SS Spartan, shown under steam in this photo, has been abandoned here since the early 1980s. Spare parts are occasionally taken to service her sister ship, the SS Badger, due to the rarity of the engines they used. Several times the Spartan was proposed to be put back in service but alas, there she sits.
