Grandpa and grandma Roberts place

This was my wife's parents farm, my brother-law owns it now. For years many happy holidays and summers were spent there by kids and grandkids. We miss it and grandma and grandpa Roberts.

We sure do miss them and those good ole' days. Sunday tradition was to go to Church then head out to "The Farm" were we all ate dinner. Most of the entire gang was there. Gramps was a hard worker but did take time on Sunday for his much deserved rest. If it was summer time we'd often cook out back at the pond and enjoy swimming and fishing. Granny always sat in the shade with a baby on her lap and grand kids all around her. After spending much time back there we'd head up to the house for a game of softball, bad mitten, croquet, or horse shoes. Then we'd retire to the dinning room table for a game of cards. Afterwards we'd go home to our black and white tv and turn on Walt Disney and Lassie while mom stir up a picture of Koolaide and popcorn in her cast iron fry pan. Good times!!!
