The address was 325 Garlock Rd at this time. After they had trouble locating a house in the area during an emergency call, our road was renumbered and it is now 8177 S. Garlock Rd., Carson City, MI. My family owned and lived here for 19 years until around Nov. of 2011. Another storage shed was added, an underground dog fence was put in, bushes and lattice was added to the porches, patio stones were placed between the side and front door, the front porch railing was lowered so you could sit and see over the railing. The white structure next to the garage was taken down and a dog pen was added around the garage. The cherry tree was destroyed by a storm. The plum tree was fruitful with Great plums only 1 year in all the time we lived there, although the tree continued to live on. The Bosch and Bartlett pear trees gave alot of fruit and the large apple (not the small) tree would have the deer from the field across the road come over, eat and rest under at night when in season. Once we put in the underground dog fence and a new neighbor moved in with a dog, we didn't see them as much. There were 3 different types of lilacs which filled the air with such fragrance! I thank the Bakers, the owners before us, for we were recipients of the fruit of their labor. Some of the pine trees on the south side of the property, on the right of the picture were taken out to help with the neighbors putting up a pole barn. It was a Wonderful neighborhood with great neighbors, good church and a loving christian school within our block. I was so sad when I had to leave.
