Troy Historical Museum.

When this pic was taken, this was Troy Town hall.

Original Troy Twp/City Hall built in 1927, designed by Birmingham architect J. Bissel. By the time this photo was taken in the early 1960s there were nearly 50 people working here.

The Troy Historic Village located on the north side of Wattles (17 Mile) Road and just west of Livernois Road at 60 Wattles Road. The village incorporates a log cabin, a Greek Revival house once owned by Solomon Caswell, the one room Poppleton School, a print shop, blacksmith shop, general store and gazebo all situated behind the old Troy Township hall shown here in the photo. The shed in this photo has long since disappeared. Worked there in the early to mid-80's with Muriel Gordon and Lori Barnes. Morris Wattles used to stop in for a chat every now and then. Wattles Road was named after his family who had a champion Dairy Farm on the southeast corner of Wattles and Livernois Roads. Morris was the township supervisor when the building was erected. Features a cool slate roof.
