In the history books, this farm was owned (and possibly built) by Ed and Herman Munson. Both were bachelors. After Herman died, Ed lived there alone, with lots of company from the Mills kids who lived next door (see house in upper left). When Ed lost his sight, my sister Pat Mills read his mail to him and wrote letters for him. When he died in the early 70s, he left Pat $1,000 in his will. She used it to go to Hackley School of Nursing. She is now a Nurse Practitioner and I'm sure Ed is proud. Every Christmas Eve, we would go caroling at Ed's house. Every year, Santa would come while we were gone. Ed's nephew Ray (and Thelma) Slorf inherited the farm. When Ray died, Thelma sold the house to Steve and Amy Anderson, who still live there. This on the corner of 44th Ave. and Stony Lake Road.
