At the time this photo was taken, this was the farm of Bob and Esther Martin. They hired a number of area boys to help milk cows, clean calf pens, mow, rake, and bale hay, clean barns, chop and pick corn, fill silos, and repair fences--including me in 1974 and '75. I can still smell the new-mown hay and silage. All of these buildings are now gone.
