August & Mina Johnson homesteaded here on the south shore of Otrey Lake before 1899, and still lived here in the 1930's. Emil Johnson owned the farm after them and until the 70's, but rented it to the Nelson's in the 50's & 60's (first Grant Nelson, then Glenn & Margaret). By 1976, Lester & Ragna Lindquist farmed here. It has been vacant for many years; some of the buildings are gone, but the house was still standing at least five years ago.
