This farm was completely razed before the 90's, when it became part of Artichoke Waterfowl Production Area.
This farm was originally homesteaded by Ole R. Pederson around 1883, and was still owned by Christine Pederson in 1931. Christine rented the farm to Melvin & Betty Shelstad, who owned it by 1950 and continued to live there when this photo was taken. Their son Verlyn and his wife Beatrice also farmed here during that time.
