The Original Scriver farm. The structure directly behind the barn was the original one room home until Scriver built a home. Scriver’s Wife died in horse accident on the farm and Scriver moved to Northfield and built the first brick building downtown called the Scriver building. The Scriver home on the farm burned down in the 1940s and John Stapf (spelling?) who bought farm from Scriver brought a school house down Blaine from behind the gas refinery on Hwy 52 and located it here as his new farmhouse. Thomas and Vicki Armstrong bought farm in the 2000’s and spent over $100,000 in remodeling to structure. Armstrong’s sold in 2008.
