Village Drive Inn was just east of Long Lake at 1615 W. Wayzata Blvd. The building is still there (now a CPA's office, I believe) and the carport-type extension was "filled in" years ago with small offices. I remember the one and only time that I played the miniature golf course in the upper left, I got a hole in one on the 18th hole and won a free game. Long Lake is the body of water in the foreground.

No, I'm sorry, I don't remember when it closed. It was there when I was a young teen in the mid-60's but after that I lost track. I know it has had several reincarnations of different businesses over the years.
