This farm was just up the road from where I grew up. Everything from this farm is gone, except for the pond in the background. I shot many geese in that pond. The chicken coop in the middle of the photo was moved to my parents property in the late 90's before everything was torn down. This currently farm field.

I moved to this farm at age three with my 8 year old brother. We milked cows and had a big silage pile. My mother had an egg business where many neighbors would have a cup of coffee and cookies with their egg purchase. We also feed pigs and grain was held in the building on the east side of the yard- which was a school house that was moved in. The barn was filled to the roof with square bales yearly with cousins help and many meals were served. No running water or indoor plumbing. We appreciated the simple life
