This farm, which is 1 mile southeast of Isle, used to belong to Russel and Mavis Rule. Russell passed away in 2008, however, did not live there the last years of his life. Mavis lived there for a short time by herself and then went into a home in Brainerd. The farm was turned over to Lutheran Social Services and I purchased it in 2009. My husband and I live there now and have done a lot of renovating of the old farm. We raise Dexter cows, have chickens and a large garden.
