We used to ride bike to the store to get a treat on hot summer days!

My Grandpa Wee owned this property (and pastored Elsborough Lutheran Church 'down the road'). As a small girl coming to visit and stay during the time period two uncles operated the feed and seed (on the corner) was exciting! Seeing local farmers gather outside the store in the evening at the end of the work week to visit over a purchased soda was a sight.

I loved that place. They always gave us kids a box of cracker jacks when we went there. It was the best.

There are many great memories of going to the Current Lake Store and spending time with the Marly,Deb, Lu, Bev and Einer Mattson when they lived there. It truly was a great place with groceries and everything we needed. Thanks for sharing a great memory!!!

I lived down the road from the store. I do remember when I was very young going to the store but it closed.

One hot summer day, the Buesing and Skaug children rode there bikes to the store, at least 10 miles round trip to get a bottle of pop or "near beer".

A favorite memory is being about 5 years old and going with my grandpa Reinholdt on a summer Sunday afternoon to that store for ice cream and Hires Root Beer to make root beer floats after supper.

This was a family rural store. It is no longer there it
is now a farm field of corn or beans.
