My great grandfather Halverson homesteaded this sight and an additional 2000 plus acres. My grandmother inherited 180 acres where the building site is located and my grandfather Iverson planted the trees and built the buildings on this sight. They moved to Pipestone in the around 1939-40. My father and mother moved on to the farm and farmed the 180 acres until 1967. They moved into Luverne and the sight was rented out. I graduated from Luverne High School in the Spring of 1967. The land was sold in the early 80's and all of the building were take down in the late 90's or early 2000's. I believe there is a hog operation on the sight now.
