This is what I remember as the EWRaasch home place also known as the Ben Brown farm. My dad bought this farm in 1972 and we moved during my senior year in high school in 1973. This photo taken in 1981 was probably the high point of our purebred swine production having 4 Auction per year of breeding stock. Mom and Dad lived in the south brick and stucco house and I live in the north white sided house in 1981. This farm went thru many pains after this photo. In 1993, it was the front edge of the great flood with w the barns on the left being submerged to the lofts although the house were never threatened. The great storm of 2009 destroyed nearly all of the out buildings but many were rebuilt. Nothing was as hard on the homestead but the lost health and later deaths of my parents! Great memories.
