Photo 14-CCLI-6

My father bought this 172 acre farm in 1961, sold it to my brother around 1978. It was a functioning dairy farm until 1993. Father and brother both gone now but brothers wife still lives on it. In the mid 60’s I-35 came within a mile but we had too many big ditches.

I grew up on this farm from 1978 to 1992, when I got married. I was 9 years old when this was taken. You can see my playhouse, swing set, and the monkey bars my dad made for me. The tiny white hutches are for the new Holstein calves, as it was a dairy farm.
