I lived here from 1980. My husband's family farm he lived all his life till it sold in 2018. His grandparents bought and built farm in the 1920's. Grandview Farm

This was my grandmothers farm handed down to her. She lived her whole life dedicated to the property. My whole life has everything to do with this place. Everything I learned growing up happen on the Grandview Farm. Learned how to fish, hunt, play catch, swim, hunt, drive a truck, drive a tractor , bale hay, ride a dirt bike, etc. Learned how to mow grass sitting on my grandmothers lap and as did my father and brother as well. We loved that place. Then after my grandmother passed away in 2005 it’s been nothing but an uphill battle with my grandpa and his new greedy girlfriend trying to sell it out from under us until we finally lost that battle late 2018 because we had to comply with his demands because The judge of franklin county was threatening to auction it off if we didn’t comply with every demand of my grandpas attorney. And now here we are. A piece of history gone because some old senile old man who had no connection with the place wanted to sell it so he could please his girlfriend with all the money. And now it’s getting destroyed and going to be full of senior homes.

I knew family that lived there on the farm. Use to go there when I was a kid with my mom to buy farm fresh eggs . fThen later on in years my Aunt married into that family. My nephews had many years as a child growing up on farm . Learning & getting experience of farm life. It makes you want to cry when you drive by and see what has been done to the farm. Trees all plowed down. A big empty spot. And now what will they turn it into? ?
