I grew up on this farm in the late 1960s. My parents, Harold and Sandra Dockery, purchased this 160 acre farm in 1968. There was an old, 2 story farmhouse that we lived in for 4-5 years before we built a new, ranch style home in front of it, and tore the old home down. In addition to the home, there was a wonderful tobacco barn complete w hayloft and drive through area and a long barn that housed animal stalls and grainery. We raised a large garden, beef cattle and hogs. Our row crops consisted of corn and soybeans. We put up a lot of hay each year to feed our livestock. We also did custom haying for many people in the neighborhood. It was heavy and hot work. My parents purchased an aerial print at the time that it was taken. I am not sure where the picture is today. Previous owners that I am aware of are: Argil Tilley and Wayne Mitts (we purchased the farm from Mitts).

This was my sister-in-law's family farm. My brother worked there when they were dating.
