Frank Schellert family moved to this home in 1963. Frank worked for Stanley Jackes. The lake was developed for fishing and recreation. The Manor was built in 1969-1970 for Mr. Jackes' family for weekends and recreation time together. It was a beautiful home. Frank, his wife Mildred, and their children lived in the renovated farm house on the road to the Manor. The older barn is still pictured in this picture. A herd of cattle was kept on this farm also, and the dual silos were automated at feeding time. I married Gary Schellert, son of Frank and Mildred. I was in the neighborhood, as these buildings and grounds were renovated--- Great memories of times spent at Dad and Mom Schellert's.
