At the time of this photo, the farm belonged to Virgil T. Phillips. He raised Polled Hereford cattle, which he showcased in the pastures in front (south) of the house, along US HWY 61. His farm was always a beautiful showplace with trees being established in the white fence enclosures. A pillar of the community.
