My grandparents Wayne and Grace Roam’s farm in Swedeborg Missouri. Located by the Gasconade River.I remember they used to plant watermelons, potatoes, and corn in the river bottom field when I was a kid My grandma died in 1995 and my grandpa in 1997. I was 2 years old in 1987 when the picture was taken. The corn crib building at the bottom right is gone. The house is still there. The shed to the left of the truck is where he kept his tractors. It’s also gone. That’s the chicken coop in the back of the house. I believe it was still there the last time I was at the property. The truck in the picture is my grandpa’s 1982 ford. He was still driving it when he passed away in 1997. He still had cattle on the farm at this time. I believe the farm was around 175 acres or so.
Got my digital print of my Grandparents farm. Lot of memories. I found a picture of me standing in the yard around this time period and the old tractor tire is behind me. The one that you can see in the yard in this picture. I thought that was neat.
