The house in the upper left corner was the Rasmus Birkley homestead. The house was burned shortly after this photo. The barn still standing and was built in 1894, if I am remembering correctly. The date is burned into a support beam inside the barn. The house in the bottom right is Harold Stark’s. They still live there. Just left of this photo is the new road to the Vermillion/Newcastle Bridge.
