Frank and Evelyn Liston's farm. The house has a walk-in fruit cellar built into the earth on the west side (left side of the house in this photo). Frank, his two brothers and 7 sisters, all called this home. All 10 children of Frank and Helena (Hilbers) Liston were life-long Dodge county residents. The house is built on sandy raised ground of the lower Elkhorn river valley along the gravel road that parallels the Chicago & North Western railroad tracks between Nickerson and Winslow.
